Depelsha Thomas McGruder

Founder and President of Mothers of Black Boys United Depelsha is married and has two sons, ages 11 and 8. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Brooklyn Chapters of The Links, Inc. and Jack & Jill of America. She is currently a Forward Promise Fellow, a program designed by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for people working to disrupt dehumanization and heal trauma for boys and young men of color.

Depelsha graduated first in her class with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Howard University and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
