Sharon Green

Sharon has developed a unique insight into the challenges that families face with the education of their children inspired by her own 12-year personal journey as a homeschool parent to three African-American sons. She received her Bachelors in English Literature from the historically acclaimed Spelman College. She is an academic consultant and the founder of BloomTree Coaching and Consulting Services, where she continues to cultivate cutting-edge approaches on how to Educate, Enrich, and Elevate the Whole Child.

As a scholastic champion adviser for African-American youth who are all too often overlooked and undervalued, Sharon is dedicated to giving clients the support and information they need to choose the educational setting that best fits their student’s academic, social, and emotional needs, wherever they are in their lives. As a family coach specializing in academic consulting, and parent and life coaching, Sharon takes pleasure in helping others identify their goals and developing effective strategies to achieve them.

Inspired by her own 12-year personal journey as a homeschool parent to three African-American sons, Sharon has developed a unique insight into the challenges that families face with the education of their children.

During her many years as a “stay-at-home” mom, Sharon homeschooled and tutored countless middle school and high school students. In doing so, she recognized how extensive the void is in meeting the social and emotional needs of our youth who are struggling to have their voices heard, and their unique educational needs met. Once her own children went on to boarding and day school, she continued to follow her passion for tutoring other students in the Atlanta Metropolitan area.

Her empathy and genuine compassion, along with an in-depth knowledge of educational processes, have made her an inimitable resource for families who want to exploit healthy and effective pathways to achieve their educational goals. Sharon resides in Atlanta, GA, and takes pride in being a servant leader in support of the causes she is most passionate about, including youth development, women’s empowerment, and social justice. Currently, she serves as a member of the Black Women’s Health Imperative SIS Circles Steering Committee.
